With Ryan Day recruiting at an elite level right now, it seems like every top recruit wants a piece of his program and the development it offers — along with the national title contention that comes with being a Buckeye.

Ohio State currently holds the No. 4 class in the country for 2026, but Day is already pushing to rise even higher. He landed the No. 2 in-state prospect just last week, secured a visit with the No. 1 linebacker in the 2026 class on Tuesday, and just made the cut for a top-160 recruit on Wednesday.

Well, another four-star recruit just released his top schools, and guess what? Ohio State made the cut.

Four-star safety Tylan Wilson from Pascagoula, Miss., just released his top four schools, and there were some surprising omissions (Alabama, Mississippi State), but Ohio State made the list along with Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Arkansas. These four programs will be battling it out for the four-star’s commitment next year.

Wilson has ideal size for a safety at 6-foot-3, though he’ll likely need to bulk up a bit — currently listed at just 172 pounds, he’ll need to add muscle to withstand the rigors of the Power Four.

The Mississippi native is ranked the No. 236 overall prospect and the No. 21 safety in the 2026 class, according to the composite rankings. He’s also the 10th-best player in the state of Mississippi for that cycle.

According to 247Sports, the only official visit Wilson has scheduled so far is to Ohio State on May 30, which could end up being a pivotal moment in his recruitment.

It’s time for Ryan Day to go to work — again.
