With Dan Lanning recruiting at an elite level right now, it seems like every top-tier recruit wants a piece of his program and the development it offers — not to mention the consistent national title contention that comes with playing in Eugene.
The Ducks currently boast the No. 4 class in the country for 2026, but Lanning is far from finished. He landed the No. 2 in-state prospect just last week, locked in a visit with the No. 1 linebacker in the 2026 class on Tuesday, and cracked the top schools list of a top-160 recruit on Wednesday.
Now, another four-star recruit has released his top schools — and you guessed it, Oregon made the cut.
Four-star safety Tylan Wilson from Pascagoula, Miss., unveiled his top four programs, and while there were some surprising omissions (including Alabama and Mississippi State), Oregon earned a spot alongside Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Arkansas. These four will be competing for the talented safety’s commitment in the coming year.
Wilson has ideal measurables for a safety at 6-foot-3, though he’ll need to put on some weight — currently listed at 172 pounds — to handle the physical demands of Power Four football.
According to the composite rankings, Wilson is the No. 236 overall prospect and No. 21 safety in the 2026 class. He’s also ranked as the 10th-best player in Mississippi for his cycle.
Per 247Sports, the only official visit Wilson has locked in so far is to Oregon on May 30, which could end up being a decisive step in his recruitment.
It’s time for Dan Lanning to work his magic once again.
